We went to Melbourne city today just for a day out and bring Layth on the trams. We had lunch at Kopitiam, recently opened in Melbourne.

SEDAP SANGAT OK!
We just got back from Malaysia, I know, but there wasn't enough time to eat the stuff we wanted. Plus we had a bout of diarrhoea then so for a while we didn't have an appetite.

We ate nasi ayam, satay daging, roti jala and nasi beriyani and I had a big glass of fresh air tebu...woo hooo!! 100% BETTER than the air tebu I had at KLIA food court..that was yuck. Tasted like cordial.
There were sooo many people we had to sit outside and it was freeeeeezzzzzziiiiiiiiiing.
Ran into Mun & Zizi, Albi, Ainis and Ohey...wahh.. macam reunion plak ek.

Then we went on the tram (for Layth's benefit) to Federation Square. By change happened to see the advertisement for an exhibition for Tim Burton's works at the Australia Centre for Moving Image (ACMI) . Was intrigued but the queue for tickets was sooooo long.

So we went to the free exhibition instead about multimedia, animation, filmwork and technology. Interesting stuff. It was like a media museum.


Lots of hands on exhibits like the movie above. We entered this dome and was required to make any movement. I jumped 3 times. Then the 36 cameras all around took the photos and turned it into a slow motion picture. Wah sangat kagum. When we did it, everyone else wanted to do it too. Hahaha.

 This is a screen (kinda like wayang kulit kind of concept) that made your silhouette into a "monster" from the other side. Layth stayed still long enough for this picture.

Ta-daaa whose vehicle is this? This is probably enticement for the paid Tim Burton's exhibition.  Maybe next time we'll go. Probably after Ramadhan maybe.

Hehehe we had a fun day. All unplanned of course. Maybe next time we'll explore the exhibition in a bit more detailed. Ahmad would love this exhibition. Had a whole area dedicated to the history of video games and we could play video games from the past (1980s) which I still remember using when I was a kid!!Plus there's an area where you can play video games like Warcraft etc2..entah..Ahmad would know more. It's free so it's a nice day out.
