Every Monday evening we go home late because we have an education session and then a surgical audit (where the registrars present how many operations they've done bla bla). It's the longest day of the week. On a Monday too...arghh.
Today we had one of those tutes where the lecturer goes around the room and gets everyone to interpret radiology (xray/CT) images and give the diagnosis and how to manage it. These tutes are quite awful. You're looking at images with no background information whatsoever. What do you know what to look for anyway?
When someone else is on the spot, you know 100% how to answer the question but when it's your turn, you turn into a mindless brainless spineless soft spoken person. And the questions are really short and follow the lecturer's train of thought; so unless your expertise is in mind reading; you're not likely to do very well in these tutes.
Plus they like to bully you by giving trick questions; just to embarrass you. Like you're agonising over the description of the Xray and it turns out to be NORMAL. Ces.
One of the images I got was unfathomable. Turned out the Xray was of a man who had a dild0 stuck in his rectum. Alaaa mana la orang tau. If he had come in emergency with painful butt and told me he had inserted something up his arse I would've figured out the thing on the Xray was a foreign body! 'Twas not to be.
