"The upper hand (giving) is better than the lower hand (receiving) and start giving charity first to the people around you (your dependents). And the best charity you can give is when you are rich; and whoever abstains from asking others (for charity), Allah will make the person be self sufficient; and whoever is satisfied with what Allah has given him, Allah will make him content with what he has"
