Bored already!

Rehabilitation rotation starts next week but I'm bored already just reading the intern handbook!!!!!!!

Contrary to Hollywood's definition of "rehab" which means people go there to have a detox from alcohol or drug addictions, rehab medicine is a totally different kettle of fish. Drug & Alcohol rehab is usually under Psychiatry instead of rehab medicine.

Rehab medicine deals with the following (non exhaustive list)
- patients recovering from a major fracture or major joint replacement and have mobility issues
- patients who had strokes
- patients with incontinence problems
- patients with dementia, brain injury, memory loss

Basically, they take AGES to get better. Ages meaning weeks and months.
