Angin

I've always been fascinated by this term "angin" to explain all ailments from stomach distension, muscle pain, back pain, headache and chest pain.

I understand the medical explanation for flatulence or wind pain... if someone eats something that is prone to produce gases in the stomach or has aerophagia (swallows too much air) can cause some stomach upset and constant belching or farting. The alimentary tract is one long tube and if there's too much gas, it makes sense that anything along the tube would be affected.

But how does the "wind" get into muscles and chest and other places? Plus some people when they get a massage, they burp out most of the "angin" that was in the muscles. Or was it?

And I remember when breastfeeding, people had told me not to eat wind-causing stuff because then the baby would get wind. How people, how?

Maybe someone can clarify.

have no idea. tapi i feel sometimes bloated and would press certain part of the body and wait for burp. time tu kalau dapat kentut yang kuat dan banyak amatlah seronoknya.
