Since she's gone to nearly everywhere in Victoria (and Canberra!) last year and this year, seriously tak tau dah nak bawak dia gi mana dah. Also the challenge is because we have seriously low funds so kene rack our brains jugak la nak think about an outing.
So we went to the Scienceworks museum for the 6th time (it's free for concession hee hee) because kat situ ada Planetarium which she hasn't been to.
My son loves this place. It's like a giant playground for him. In the photo he's playing with the jamban. Hahaha. Lama duduk kat situ tekan butang pam and watching the water flow through the jamban.
At the Scienceworks Museum and Melbourne Planetarium on SaturdayThen on Sunday we went to Kryal castle near Ballarat. It's a re-enactment of medieval England. Novel idea but not that accurate. It was alright I suppose, coz the weather was beautiful Alhamdulillah. But some things were quite tacky and could've been done better considering the $20 admission fee!
There were lots of mini museums such as a wax torture chamber, a medical museum, a maritime museum and armour museum for that era. We saw and felt and held chainmail which was heavy..how did the knights wear that and armour and sword fight?!! There was supposed to be a jousting tournament but they replaced it with a re-enactment of whipping in public. We didn't hang around for the hanging re-enactment though that might have been interesting.
In conclusion, that era was quite spooky and dark and uncivilised (well they didn't call it the Dark Ages for nothing).
