Pointless

Because the pain is unbearable and I feel very sickly I went to the GP. Because it's Saturday and my favourite Uni GP is closed, had to go to the GP close to home where I already know the consultations would be very unsatisfactory.

GP: What can I help you with today?
Me: I have an ulcer on my uvula, it has pus on it today. My ears feel like they're going to explode and I have chest pains.
GP: Okay let me look at your throat.
(silence)
GP: I'll give you antibiotics. It looks like a viral infection but I'll give you antibiotics just in case
Me: So what's the matter?
GP: It looks like your uvula is ulcerated.
Me: (In my mind: Err..that's what I told you!) Ok thanks. See you.
